Artist's Comments

Well, this is my first real deviation in a long time. I'm so thrilled about the camera I got for my birthday (EOS Digital 10D) I sort-of wanted to wait until I captured a photo to really show off the optics of it. I'm still not sure how much I should scale down my work before uploading it. This is scaled down more then 70% in photoshop.

I'm curious to know what everyone thinks.

great structure and lighting here. This seems to be inside a church? I think resizing the pictures so that they can be seen from people that have less resolution equipment at home (1024x768) would just be fine, at least its the way i do it. It depends on personal taste i guess. Anyway. I like the photo u took.

I really like the overall warmth of this - the orange tones are really comforting. The complex pattern structure gives a lot to look at within the frame. Its a shame about the blur, most evident in the top left corner and the flare on the right, but the colours blend so well together. I like the way you have cropped the composition, not letting the four lines of vision join the the middle of the frame, but letting them branch more naturally.

Thanks a lot for commenting. I appreciate it. 1024x768 still seems to be the standard? I've gotten very used to 1280x1024, so anything else seems huge to me now. :D !!

Yeah, i am working with 1280x1024 too. But ever stumbled across someone who posts his/her pics in decadent resolutions like 2500x3200 or something like that? It may be that they dont want to loose detail, thats why they post it that way, but i am really annoyed about having to scroll around (i hate that) to see the picture. Seeing the picture, what a joke, you cant see it if its posted like that. And by the way, its a matter of downloadsize. I got only isdn at home and i am not willing to wait 3 minutes for a picture to load, that i cant even see completely. So enough blustering here. Personally i assume people having the minimum equipment (1024x768) thats why i post my stuff smaller then this.

Long story, small sense. Dont know why i babble so much about that. It has nothing to do with you. But stop you started the resolution subject :) so now live with it, hehe :D

be well.
